Gone are the images of the dead and dying from all classes, including kings, bishops and commoners. Nor are the familiar crashing towers, the rising sun or the mystic rose evident. Eerie in its starkness, to look upon Clysdalle's death head and crossed maori spears is to lock gaze with our unavoidable future, the shedding of flesh to all men's ultimate destination.
