When we were on the Kon Tiki bus Saturday afternoon during Exotica 2003, I pointed out a mural on the side of Club Paradise/Paradise Club on Belmont St in Chicago (as seen on page 113 of Tiki Road Trip).

Alice and I were racking our brains trying to figure out (for a curious Sven and others) the name of the Hawai'i-based photographer who's image of a hula dancer was shamelessly swiped for use in the mural, and we couldn't come up with it (and we hadn't even started drinking yet!).

Consulting my notes, I remembered: Kim Taylor Reece.

The image in question is on the cover of one of his books, and also on a bunch of his other swag.

So there ya' go.
