Those Are lathe marks and could have been just to turn the square boards into rounds but you are most likely correct because the "duplicators" use the same system to hold and turn the piece as it is being carved along with the other dozen or so. Those Are lathe marks and could have been just to turn the square boards into rounds but you are most likely correct because the "duplicators" use the same system to hold and turn the piece as it is being carved along with the other dozen or so.
