Atomic Tiki Punk - Well, the whole vampire vs sunlight thing is a bit convoluted. Upon further research, I discovered that Bram Stoker had Dracula walking around London in broad daylight in the original novel! I think F. W. Murnau's 1922 silent movie Nosferatu had the Count killed by the rays of the sun. Perhaps that's where we get the whole big idea vampire's can't go out in the sun. Nosferatu, by the by, is a great film. It's a little frightening to think that Bram Stoker's widow won her case against the film makers for copyright infringement from the Book Dracula, and the German government ordered all copies of the film destroyed! Luckily, some copies were saved, and you can still find this amazing movie.
