I had mentioned in an aku aku thread way back that i met a woman who owned a shop in vegas and used to work wait tables at the aku-aku back in the day...the bamboo mugs were discontinued early due to sanitation issues because they were made of bamboo and could harbor bacteria...they should be pretty hard to find.
