If you are lucky-things may be fine. Where are you going and when? Tahiti is awesome. I have only been to Tahiti and Moorea. I have heard Bora Bora has lots of fancy resorts. I'm glad we stayed in Moorea. Nut much to do there, but hang out, each great French food with a Polynesian flair (or is it Polynesian food with a French flair??)and drink cheap French wine! Oh, swim and explore and go to Tiki Village and stuff! Great Polynesian fabric shopping in Papeete in the fabric district! I would recommend staying at least a night in Papeete-it ios a little gritty as long as you are ok with that. the shopping is great! Here is a picture of me in Tahiti around 1971!
