Aha! My book lied to me. For the chapter where they traveled to Tahiti, they used stock footage from "Manuana". I knew that tiki looked Hawaiian. Good catch, bigbro.

Another happy discovery from this film...

...notice the pole to the left of the fern-wood tiki above.

That gives me the location of this 8x10 glossy photo that just arrived in the mail today:

All I knew was that it was a photo promoting Hawaii travel that was used in the Chicago Sun Times in 1954. Now I know it was taken at Don The Beachcomber's.
