I missed the sunset yesterday. Instead, let me point out the fact that it's officially Buzzy Month:

From the Frankie's Tiki Room Calendar:

They forgot to add the part where Brandie and her friends complain about the chairs being uncomfortable after they sit in them.

Happy Buzzy Month! and...
Make sure you stop by Frankie's Tiki Room the next time you're in Vegas!

Drum progress:

I started by smoothing out the bell part:

then I did more on the inside of it:

Brought it in to carve out the tiki legs:

Here it is now, with the finalleg cutouts done:

They still need some fixin'.

I can't see how those legs will hold together after the final cutouts, given the weak nature of palm.

I'm pushing far outside the comfort zone on this one... With risk comes rewards, or failure.
I'll take some pictures later to clear up that vision problem of yours. It's a planned part of the process, and will be adressed next.

Go for it, Buzz!If it cracks and falls just slather some Elmer's Glue on it.

It seems they make and sell a solution for every problem I encounter. Something will work.
