A Disappointing Visit to Mai-Kai - Tiki Drinks and Food

I have had "poor" drinks at the Mai-Kai once. It was while they were slammed during Hukilau's first Happy Hour. And I have been to between 7 and 14 Hukilau Happy Hours, with only one suffering... I echo Big Bro's sentiment in that since I have been so into cocktails and making them at home, I find that even what I get served at the venerable Trader Vic's does not much impress me. Just echoes of previous greatness. However, the Mai-Kai has kept a high standard. I may have to fly down there and check on this though. Seems like a good excuse. But, I suppose that is the real answer. Locals need to speak up. All of us who visit there semi-annually can only know so much about the consistency of the drink quality.
