Actually my post was not so much a literal "call to action" as it was a self-indulgent "what if". :( Having gone back and read some of the previous posts (it was one long thread that had gone dormant for a while), I got a sense that most locals have accepted the inevitable. For most here, historic significance or preservation falls low on the list when compared to drink quality and TIPSY factor. I think the petition is still a great idea as it brings the significance of classic Tiki-style into the media spotlight even if it's limited to local newsprint.
