And John-o, try and find a copy of Bobby Troup "the meaning of Jazz". Hands down my favorite "lounge" album of all time. Bobby, surrounded by a "west coast" style jazz combo. If you like Shelley Manne style stuff, you will LOVE this! In the Mary Kay clip, Bobby is the one holding a mic, not on stage. The camera pans to him several times. Actor, musician and husband of Julie London. I am suprised more mid century fans are not more familiar with him, as I am.
