I got some color on the drum. Here it is after a couple coats of various stains:

I got the head on it too. I'll have better pictures of it when the light outside gets better this evening

I have to go into PB to get some incense to try the smoke thing. I went to 4 stores today and none had any in stock.

My back acted up again so what little work I could manage lately was done on the drum. I did make this little pendant a few days ago:
