For anyone who will be in Wellington between now and September 12th, this exhibition at Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum, should be of interest. They have a very impressive series of ceremonial masks from PNG, in addition to cloth from the various Pacific Islands from the time of Cook's voyages through to contemporary times.

In addition to the main exhibition area, there is another section up a side corridor where they have a display on the differing characteristics of tapa from the various islands.

Sadly (strangely?), there were no posters, prints or postcards relating to the exhibition on sale in the museum shop.
