James Gammon played "Paps", a crusty sailor aboard The Filthy Whore in 1994's 'Cabin Boy'. One of My favorite movie voices he growled "Send us a postcard, Daisy!" as they set Chris Elliot adrift to drink seawater, hallucinate and meet "Chokie", a half- man half-shark played by Russ Tamblyn. Seen yelling at figurehead below.
Gammon also chewed up the screen as quintessential gabby cowboy sidekick "California Joe" in 1995's 'Wild Bill'. |
