See folks, going to your local library is a good thing! On the internet you would have had to pay for these books.

I think you mean "Headhunting in the Solomon Islands". Samoans didn't do that. But then again, this is Polynesian pop, so hey.

I am fascinated by that book's popularity! Not to diminish your find, but in the 90s, when I was researching the BOT, that was THE book I found one or more copies of in every Used Books store. I really would like to find out more about the impact of the book in its own time, I bet LIFE Magazine did an article on it, the equivalent of being on Oprah today.
