It's been cloudy a lot here lately

The sun coming out this afternoon at the coast made the evening news

I had a second surfboard mini blank done a while back. It was based on the porportions of this board:

I made mine with just a very slight rocker, like I assume one of those old ass boards was in the day. I put about the same rocker on it as this old flat 10' G & S I had a long time ago

Like the other one, I decided to do one of those tiki drawing woodburning deals. It started with a paper cutout of the boards outline and a did lot of penciling, measuring, and erasing.

Then I took my drawing and xeroed it to make a taped together clean master stencil. Here's one piece of the design:

I use that to transfer it on to the board:

And then I burn round one:




I still have the top design to fancy up a bit and do the logo, but the rest is done:



I'll finish the burnin' tonight and do stain test beefore i finish it. I also need to make the fin, but that only takes about ten minutes.

The other board is done. I just haven't gotten aqround to photoing it yet.
