Sunsets:
Board #5 was done up in some brown stain. Now it's ready for some finishing oil I'm ok with the board being brown, even though it rides slower than a red board My Hawaiian board quiver Just so happens I had one more log slab shaped and ready to go. I did a larger full body design. I did the previously demonstarted draw half of it and light box trace/carbon paper it transfer techinque. After doing all that set up work, I got it burned to here last night: Some lines, some shading, and it's stain time.
It was only sanded. I never stained or sealed it. It was just sitting there in the living room waiting forever for me to finally get to it. I did all that finishing stuff last week. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the tatoos are stained a different color than the rest of it. It's that extra step that kept me from actually ever getting it done.
thanks Benz, but I owe it all to my magic burner, however. I just touch it to the wood and the burner does all the work for me.
Quite welcome guys.
Sun's out, shorts go on...
Thanks TH. It all came together for that guy. Too bad that moment has`passed... |
