Yes, somewhere along the way, the Tiki Revival seems to have lost touch with its lounge roots and shifted more towards beach culture (or was Tiki ever part of the mid-1990's "Cocktail Nation"?) At this point you could almost write a book on the different phases of the Tiki Revival. And if you think about it, the Revival has lasted almost as long as the original classic Tiki-style period.
