Ah! Lee Linton designed the Penguin Coffee Shop in Santa Monica? That's one of my favorite buildings. I wonder if he did the Java Lanes in Long Beach? The googie A-frame and sign look reminiscent of his other work:
I was also thinking "International Marketplace" when I saw those totems out front. Thanks for connecting all the dots, bigbro. Nice to attach an actual location to that fantastic menu cover too. |
