While shooting in the yacht harbor adjacent to this quaint little fishing town:

I used my time off to go exploring its cobble stone streets:

when, at the end of one street, I spied something out of character with the rest of the architecture:

And so I came upon this wonderful spaceship of GDR resort design:

Maybe it landed here when it saw the 18th century lighthouse:

While the interior was all remade new, I stumbled upon some curious guardians inside the entrance:

These guys were BIG, as a size comparison shows:

I had no idea what they were doing there, no exotic establishments were inside that they could belong to. They reminded me strongly of the headhunter statues used in some Tiki Temples like The Islands and the native busts at the Bali Hai...

And I was wondering, did we ever establish the origin of these carvings? Igorot or not? Anyone here knows?
