First coat of stain on:


I pyt a darker stain under the first coat in the recessed areas. You can barely see the tone difference in these close ups

One more coat should do it. Now it's the hurry up and wait process of staining and sealing...

I'm hung up on sanding all the small details on the relief part. My right thumb got kind of numb for a couple days after hand sanding so much it with emory boards. Last week Home Depot was out of the sandpaper I needed to sand the other parts with , but I just got some yesterday, so I should be back on it tomorrow. I really only have a couple more hours on it at this point. It's just that those last hours are the most physically taxing. Today I need to clean up the mess around here before I even think about doing a thing...
