Let's not forget to mention that these lamps are based on the Luau logo Tiki:

They were made for and used at the Luau first, then fanned out at the various Stephen Crane Kon-Tiki/Ports of Call restaurants, and then apparently made it to Canada...thou I don't know about Vic's.
