MauiTiki~ That's so great! I bet November is Dale's favorite month (that's the month that has his hot rod featured in da painting). It's very exciting, I'm still stunned thinking about having a calender of my work out there - and I think it's important as an artist, to be in high end galleries, but it's also exciting and just as important to be apart of tourist merch in low brow venues too. I mean, we call it "low brow art" ... right. Something some one will buy for a few bucks and tuck away and ten years later remember their Hawaiian Vacation by thumbing through it's fading pages. It's like filtering down and being part of pop culture - real pop culture. I'm not sure where all the places the calenders will be sold. I don't think they'll make it to the mainland. But, it makes me smile to think my art is in the souvenir isle at Walmart as well as the high end gallery in Maui and such swank places.
