So it inspired me to engage in a bit of armchair Indiana Jones stuff on the Moon Islander. In the archives of the local Florida Today newspaper, the following article appeared 40 years ago this month on March 23, 1971: From the Nov 23, 1969 edition of the same newspaper, an ad appeared in the entertainment and dining section: A bit earlier, on June 1, 1968, a classified ad sought Moon Islander waitresses (cocktail and otherwise): [ Edited by: TikiTomD 2011-03-30 03:05 ]
