  1. “Na Pua” the 1934 Song From the CD: Andy Iona & The Islanders/ Hawaiians in Hollywood – Smooth, Sweet & Swinging – 1934-36. With Andy Iona on the Rickenbacker frying pan six-string electric lap steel guitar & ukulele, and Sam Kila on Guitar. Lyrics include a list of flowers associated with each of the Hawaiian Islands.

  2. “Sweet Haha `Aia Ka Manu (Sweet Lobelia, Food of the Birds)” by Eddie Kamae and The Sons of Hawaii from the CD: Yesterday & Today, With Eddie Kamae on lead & backing vocals and steel guitar, and Mike Kaawa on 12-string guitar. Lyrics celebrate the Lobelia tree on Kaui near Mount Waialeale where forest birds feed on its green and purple blossoms.

  3. “Lei Pakalana” by The Richard Kauhi Quartette, With Richard Kauhi on Piano, from the CD: Vintage Hawaiian Legends, Volume 1 The Pakalana is a fragrant yellow-green flower that when woven into a lei is associated with love and lovemaking.

  6. The late 1940s recording of “Wai O Ke Aniani (Crystal Water)” by the Gabby Pahinui Trio, from the Collection: Vintage Hawaiian Treasures, Volume Six – Night Club Hula Hawaiian Style – Bell Records Recordings Lyrics about the scent of Pikake flowers after rain.

  7. “Singin' in the Rain,” the 1928 version sung by Cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards, From the Box Set: With My Little Ukulele in My Hand

  8. “Softly, As in a Morning Sunrise,” the Sigmund Romberg & Oscar Hammerstein song, performed by Esquivel and His Orchestra, from the 1960 LP: Infinity in Sound.

  9. “Life Just Got Sweeter” by the Hula Honeys, from their CD of the same name, featuring Ginger Johnson on Tenor Ukulele and Robyn Kneubuhl on Baritone Ukulele.

  13. “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most” the 1955 version by Jackie Cain and Roy Kral, from The Original Jazz Legends Series

  14. “Joy Spring,” the Clifford Brown tune Performed by Emily Remler and Larry Coryell from their 1990 CD titled: Together
