Smoked Ice - Tiki Drinks and Food

I'm not sure why they went to the trouble of smoking actual ice, then refreezing it. You could just put a pot of water in the smoke then freeze it when it cools. I made soup one time in an uncovered Dutch oven in the smoker, turned out really good. I think the soup benefited from the fact that I put it on the bottom rack and the juice from the ribs dripped into the soup as everything smoked. That might not work out well to have the rib juices dripping into your ice water! :lol: Marlene, if you want I'll send you a couple bottles of smoke water to make ice out of.
