Remember when Empty-V used to show actual videos? Me neither. But there's a new collection of truely artistic music videos in a set called "The Directors". I'm not sure if they are sold individually, but I got the set of three that features the videos of Michael Gondry, Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonze. There are lots of extra movies and commentaries and making-of features included, too. I know this sounds like an ad, but I've loved some of these videos for years and am thrilled they are on such a comprehensive DVD set. My faves are Cunnigham's lesbian industrial robot porn for Bjork's song, "All is Full of Love". Another one is Gondry's Chemical Brothers video for "Let Forever Be". Really smart and creative stuff. And Gondry's menu screen is the funniest I've ever seen on a DVD. Tiki-bot [ Edited by: Tiki-bot on 2003-11-07 12:22 ] |
