I just got off the phone with Robert Hoffman, manager of Caliente Tropics. He
told me that he has just hired a contractor to lift the entrance canopy and
replace the support beam with a new one so that the canopy will be completely
restored! He laughed when I told him of my concern because, he said, he has
been inundated with calls about this issue.

Congratulations to everyone who contacted them, making it clear that people care
about the Tropics' original historic fabric!
