Here is another steak house concept that was popular when I was a kid - the broil your own - this one is the Tiki Broiler from the International Market Place in Waikiki. Just grab the misses, put on lei and do some indoor grilling. And, the secrets to success, a cocktail lounge and moderate prices. We still have a broil your own place just south of Santa Barbara in the little beach town of Carpinteria called The Palms. It's actually a fun dinner experience. DC
