I can think of 4 good reasons. Let's start off with reason number 4 and work our way up.
Reason #4: You hate Surf music and/or feel it has no place in Tiki culture...
BUT... you want to express your appreciation for BigTikiDude's good friendship and general Tiki ambassadorship.
You can show your support by attending HIS event.
It's definitely a labor of love.
Reason #3: You're a casual Surf music fan, familiar with the popular groups from the early 60's classic era, but don't know much about the latest of the 3rd Wave (or are we on the 4th Wave now ?).
Well BigTikiDude has made it easy for you. He's assembled some of the best bands from across the country (world?) for your listening pleasure. It's one-stop shopping to get educated on the latest and greatest. :)
Reason #2: You're a hardcore Surf music fan, check the SG101 website everyday, own hundreds of albums and CDs, and John Blair's book is your bible, but you NEVER EVER go to live shows.
So... In BigTikiDude's own words (try to imagine your own father lecturing you :D):
"If you don't support your scene, you won't have a scene left to support".
