Your bar is coming along nicely.
But don't try to go too fast.
Home tiki bars are never done they are
like a scrap book you keep adding to.
When you go on vacation or to a tiki event
you pick up items for your bar year after year.
That way when you look around the room you
will see a mug from Shelter Island or a blowfish from
Mexico.
And you can tell the story about how when going through
customs the girl checking your bag pricked herself on one
of the blowfish you had wraped in your underwear for protection
and just closed up the bag and did not ask you what it was
she just pricked herself on.(true story)
It's better than just saying I got that at pottery barn.
Take your time that way the ideas will come to you and all
will be better.
Plus get the lighting right.
I see so may tiki bars that don't have much lighting.
That's what makes em cool.
You don't need to buy lights from a guy like me I'm not saying that.
But you can use small lamps from the 50s or up lights for fake trees
on your tikis, bamboo patio lights, rope light under your bar ECT....
You need LOTS of small dim lights for the right look.
