The FINAL episode of The Crime Jazz Unit - #26 - has been released and is
free to go...

http://crimejazzunit.blogspot.co.uk/

This episode features the Special Guest voice of Jen Venus as 'Sgt.
McCluskey'. Jen Venus - what a name!

This episode also features a brand spanking new recording of Torch Song by
The Real Tuesday Weld. The song was originally released for the video game
LA Noire with guest vocalist Claudia Bruken. This is the bands version
with new singer / violinist Geraldine McEwan who has a voice you can't
help but fall in love with! It smokes, catches fire and burns the place
down!

You can check out the video with exerpts from the 1933 film Ecstasy starring Hedy Lamarr.

Original Message

The Crime Jazz Unit’s top snitch told us about the Hanford Lemoore’s website Tiki Room and this time his information was as good as my Scotch!

Through interdepartmental cooperation with the Tiki Central Forum we are happy to introduce you to the Crime Jazz Unit. A radio show providing a soundtrack to the wrong doings against society.

For half an hour you are ushered in to spend some quality time with our Crime Jazz Detective who - along with playing the usual suspects of Crime Jazz, Exotica, Lounge, Tiki, Blaxploitation, Surf and other like minded music provides the following information about:

  • Stupid Laws
  • How to commit crimes and not get caught
  • How to deal with prison if things go screwy
  • Last words and meals of Texas death row executees
  • Excerpts from our favourite crime novels
  • Stupid criminals
  • Death row recipes

Sometimes the Detective is joined by others such as ‘The Lady of the Evening’, ‘Word on the Street’, ‘Scottie from Scotland Yard’ and other special guest voices.

The Crime Jazz Unit spreads the word every second Sunday and we have the Commissioner’s promise of city funding for one year. You do the math – that’s 26 episodes and we’ve just released episode 4 so you’d better get with it Johnny Come Lately!

Our motto is simple – give it a listen, if you got the guts!

Now, stay out of trouble and keep your noses clean!
