I just got a CcJoe's ashtray for two bucks and two weird little wood tikis for two bucks each and an oil on canvas of Diamondhead for $20. Some dealers are much more reasonable than others. I've been needing to head over to your neck of the woods. I haven't been in quite some time. There's a quirky little cheap antique store I like and believe it or not, I've had some good luck at the Salvation Army over there. It'll probably have to wait till after Thanksgiving though.
