Case in point... In the mid-1970's the local band Kalapana had an R&B Lite hit "The Hurt". Good easy listening BUT NOT TIKI.
Also around that time, this piece of attire replaced the classic Aloha Shirt as a popular Hawaiian memento... NOT TIKI !!
