Koi live to be 200 years old and get HUGE.
It would be cruel to put them in a small environment like that.
They are really beautiful and friendly.

Like I said, Koi grow only to their environment! It is o.k to keep them in an aquarium, and they only live to 200 in exceptional cases.

Here's a link to a Koi fact sheet- get the facts. There is a koi farm near me (maybe you too)and they are always willing to give information. Also if anyone is local, the Disneyland Hotel has large ponds filled with huge koi. They let people feed them by hand at two daily feeding times. It's really fun! Makes for a great afternoon, cocktails and koi feeding.
