MUNKTIKI Fiestaware Skull Fiesta originally produced their signature uranium oxide Red from 1936 to 1943 when the government assumed control of all uranium in support of the war effort. Production of this color would resume again, but not until 1959, with the name finally changing to Mango Red in 1968.
