This is an excerpt from the full article and the last part names the motel and gives a clue as to where this temple is located, or was located.

We just need to find the main gate of this power plant. Any local TCers willing to do some sleuthing around over there?
Well, I guess the protesters didn't win. That power plant has been there most of my life. Maybe I can drive by & see if there is anything to see... Doubt it though, being over 30 years later.
