Planter's Punch - The Original Tiki Drink - Tiki Drinks and Food

I discuss some of the history of the drink, and the many variations that have popped up over the years. For those who just want the recipe, here it is: Planter's Punch 2 oz Rum 1 oz Grapefruit Juice 1/2 oz Lime Juice 1 oz Grenadine 1 tbsp Sugar Cane Syrup 1/2 oz 151 Rum (optional) Shake all the ingredients (except 151 Rum) with ice until well-chilled. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass, or use something pretty if you've got it. Float the 151 Rum on top. Enjoy!

2 oz Rum

1 tbsp Sugar Cane Syrup
1/2 oz 151 Rum (optional)
