On this week’s show we continued our exploration some of the wilder shores of exfoliative and extraordinarious exotica.   7. “El Producto” from the 2002 album, Skinny Dip With Don Tiki.

  8. “On a Little Street in Singapore” the 1978 recording from The Manhattan Transfer Anthology – Dream in Birdland.

  9. “It Was a Lover and His Lass” the 1938 recording by Maxine Sullivan with Claude Thornhill & His Orchestra, featuring Bobby Hackett on muted cornet, from the CD: Say It With a Kiss, with lyrics by William Shakespeare and music by his contemporary, Thomas Morley.

  10. “Gavotte en Rondeau,” the Johann Sebastian Bach composition performed by John King on Ukulele, played in campenella style in which individual notes over-ring one another producing a bell-like sound similar to a harp, accomplished by playing each succeeding note in a melodic line on a different string.   15. “The Lady in Red” by Mark Murphy from the CD: Crazy Rhythm: Debut Recordings, taken from his 1957 LP: Let Yourself Go. With a Big band arranged and conducted by Ralph Burns. The song was composed by Mort Dixon & Allie Wrubel for the 1935 movie titled: In Caliente.

  16. “Return to Paradise” by Shirley Horn from her recording: Here’s to Life, Produced & Arranged by Johnny Mandel. Composed by Dimitri Tiomkin & Ned Washington for the 1953 Gary Cooper movie based on the James Michener novel of the same name set in Polynesia.
