13 Tikis are returning to the Chef on Saturday February 18th for "An Evening in Shangri-La"

For those who aren't familiar...
...13 TIKIS are Chicago’s premier Surf & Instrumental band. They bring the excitment of sax driven Garage-Rock and the fun of Instro Surf to the much needed Chicago Area. Formed in 2004 when guitarist Phil Tiki found drummer Jack The Ripper on MySpace. Larry, Mr. Friday, joined on bass to bring the music of Link Wray to life. Suzie joined on sax shortly after and amazing guitarist, Stevie Martini joined in 2009 to complete the lineup.

In 2008, they were asked to be part of the “Induct Link Wray Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame” concert in Cleveland, OH. Members of Link’s family, Ed Cynar from Link’s Wraymen as well as members of the RRHOF were in attendance.

13 TIKIS have played places such as Chef Shangri-La, Trader Vic’s, Reggie’s Rock Club, The Liar’s Club, and Friendy Tap in Chicago, The Foundation in Milwaukee, WI, The Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, OH and are regulars at Oak Fest in Oak Forest, IL.

Remember there's a new food and drink menu and happy hour specials in the bar as well. Saturday night the drink special is a Freaky Tiki served in Collector Mug for $18.00. So come on out, have some pupus, a tropical libation or two and enjoy the thundering rhythms of 13Tikis!

FREE Raffle photo coming soon, plus this month filling in for Coalbe & me, our good friends Gary and Donna will be your guest raffle host & hostess. Thanx guys! :D
