The "Crouching Figure" concept has been employed in American Tiki sometimes, here at the Shelter Isle apartments pool hut: Since Guanko and Bumatay were both Filipino, they might have introduced the concept. Or it could have been based on PNG Korvar figures: In any case, though not Tiki, this figure nicely fits into any Tiki lounge as tribal Oceanic art from exotic ports of call.
