For the last four years, I have been very curious about a painting my friend has hanging in his office. When I first asked him about it, he dismissed it as, "I'm not really even sure where that came from." Today I finally took a picture of it and did a google search on the artist. As it turns out "Richmond Kelly" went by "Dick Kelly" professionally, working as an art director at Walt Disney for several years (I'm sure many of you knew this, but I had no idea.) I'm sure my friend inherited the painting somehow from his own father, who was a Disney exec for several years. It's a great painting, and I love the framing. Even though my friend doesn't "know anything about it," I doubt if he will let me take it off his hands ;)

It's like if Mary Blair and I decided to hang out together in the Thunderdome.
