Atomic Tiki Punk they are when you make them for sale.
Lee what a great place to display Tiki Magazine. You looked terrific on our visit.
LoriLovesTikis Dan feels better today, it must be my cooking.

Progress Report:

Yesterday morning I cracked the lid to lower the last few degrees slowly. Fast cooling causes cracks and I don't want any of those.

Top level in the kiln.

Bottom level in the kiln.

Dan's cold kept him in bed yesterday. Boy did I miss him. I had to take each mug and hose them off, put them on the trays and carry them into the house.

Once in the house I sanded off any problems that could be corrected.

When the green-ware was sanded the mold lines were gone. However firing shrinks the clay and some mold lines came back. I spent the day sanding the Zombies arms.

I found a dent on the bottom of half of the mugs. I inspected the molds and found that one had a piece of plaster stuck on the bottom piece. So these mugs will have Magic mend painted into this dent and these will be re-fired. MadDogMike told me about this miracle product, it really works well.

Sanding can fill dents so that they are missed first time around but I'll fix them.

I picked most but not all of the glazes needed for the Tiki Bob's

Here they are all together.

These mugs are all ready to glaze after I sanded them yesterday.

These need the bottom dent fixed but the rest of the mug is fine because I also sanded them. After sanding they were all washed again to rid them of dust.

These will be checked and sanded today.

Now its time to go back to work. It is going to rain here for the next four days.
When the rain stops I'll be starting the test glazing on the Zombie Torch mugs. I'll be using an air brush for some of it and that needs to be done outside.

Thank you for stopping by, Wendy
