In the 70's the bar was dimly lit,musty,etc but not quite a dive. More a Americanized Ol Mexico noir 30's bar( as opposed to a lounge.) Bourbon and water, jack,or a "sangria preparada estlilo de Guadalajara would have been the appropriate drink request. The Bahaia's website reflects the possibility that there has been a remodel some years ago (new ownership? ). I was last there about ten years ago and not much had changed in the bar.
