If it hasn't been a year, then it feels like it has been a year since I carved an actual full body tiki on a full round log. It's been so long, in fact, that I think I forgot how to actually do one. I'm giving myself a quick one to do as a refresher course before I start something more sizable or labor intensive.

I started yesterday afternoon on a practice run to make sure that I could carve a certian feature onethe full body/full round log right. Since it was a body feature, I was more interested in doing that first and I broke from my normal routine and started at the bottom and worked my way up. Here it is after a couple hours of work:

Hit at it again for a couple more hours today and got the body to here:


Then I started the head and face:


That's where I left off this afternoon...
