This veteran of the Polynesian restaurant industry deserves to be remembered, since his career spanned the 20th century Polynesian pop period from Pre-Tiki to Tiki Modern. Here is a great thread with beautiful images of the place where Paul Fong worked as the chef and where the name of his own restaurant came from:

There are many threads on the Chef Shangri La here on TC since BambooLodge has arranged many happy Tiki events there over the years, but his posting in "Locating Tiki" is sadly bereft of images:

Maybe folks can post images there now as a memorial to Paul Fong. I do not have any images here with me in Europe, so I hope that Humu Humu will forgive me if I clip some of her great slide show on Critiki to start the image posting in the "Locating Tiki" thread above.
