While I'm not really into shilling for Wikipedia, your contentions about A-frames "are they or aren't they" and "what makes an A-frame 'tiki'" made me curious enough to consult Wikipedia and then discover that mid-century tiki architecture and other related structural styles are not adequately addressed in current entries for "tiki" and "tiki culture."
