Folks, I think certain elements of this discussion would make excellent additions to the Wikipedia entries for "tiki" and/or "tiki culture." You could refine your assertions here among friends on TC and then publish your definitions and concepts for the benefit of those who use Wikipedia. While I'm not really into shilling for Wikipedia, your contentions about A-frames "are they or aren't they" and "what makes an A-frame 'tiki'" made me curious enough to consult Wikipedia and then discover that mid-century tiki architecture and other related structural styles are not adequately addressed in current entries for "tiki" and "tiki culture."

Please keep up the discussion - I find it very interesting and informative.
