Recorded in 1959 at the Henry J. Kaiser Aluminum Geodesic Dome, Honolulu.

  7. “Nuts,” the 1950s side waxed in Paris by Roy Eldridge from the CD Box Set: Little Trumpet Jazz Giant, with Mr. Eldridge on Trumpet, Gerald Wiggins on Piano, Pierre Michelot on Baritone Sax & Kenny Clarke on Drums.

  8. “The Bagdad Blues” by pianist Horace Silver from his 1959 LP: Blowing the Blues Away, including Blue Mitchell on Trumpet; Junior Cook on Tenor Sax; Gene Taylor on Bass; and Louis Hayes on Drums.

  9. “Rum and Coca Cola,” the 1940s hit song composed by Lionel Belasco and Lord Invader, later stolen by and unfairly credited to Morey Amsterdam, performed by clarinet master Ken Peplowski on his CD: In Search Of..., accompanied here only by Joe Ascione on Drums.
