Hello to all. Just thought you might like to see a cool new find of ours. (Although it is
miniscule in comparison with the 8FT Tiki we introduced to you a few days ago.)Did you miss that story? Go to the Main Topic Forum and read about the Discovery and restoration of our Oceanic Arts 8FT Tiki. He's so cool and with the snow on the ground here now we are sure glad he's inside now.
OK Back to the other business. We ran across a very neat vintage matchbook from a place called the Tropic Shop. It was originally located in Indianapolis at 2235 N. Meridian. They featured "Modern Rattan"
and the brand we love.....TROPITAN!!!!
The sales slogan was "Modern Modes for Relaxed Living".
Can you imagine walking into that store?
WOW! Check out the drawing of the storefront. I am so curious. Is that building still there??? Do we have any members of TC that are from the area or will
pass through over the holidays? If so will someone please go to the address and see what is at the site? Enjoy the photos!!
