You might try calling "Labor Ready" in your area. Not sure if they charge xtra for xmas eve. They charge around $15-16 per hour per person with a four hour minimum. You can cut them loose early but still have to pay the minimum. If you don't like who they send you have to pay a one hour minimum. The good thing is that includes workers compensation and liability insurance. We used 2 guys to help my sister move and they moved the heaviest stuff, upstairs, etc. they were done early so she had them rearrange furniture several times. You have to fill put a report card for them so they are motivated to do a good job.

Of course it would be more fun to have a TC friend to help, but a good option anyway. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
